The Plan Of Opening The Largest LV Flagship Store Go To Naught

Affected by financial crisis, the French luxury brand Louis Vuitton abolished the plan of opening a new LV store in the newly built building in Ginza, Tokyo. According to related sources, the LV group originally planned to set up the world’s largest stores, but the downturn of the luxury market make them change their mind.

It is said that the group had planned to open their new store in the “Hulic Sukiyabashi Building (tentative name)”in Sukiyabashi crosss. The building has 12 floors and 4 basements. LVJ,the franchiser of Louis Vuitton in Japan had intended to rent the majority of the floors of this building. If the plan comes to fruition, this LV store will surpass the France Champs Elysees flagship store, becoming the world’s largest Louis Vuitton flagship store.

The global economic slowdown leds to a serious decline in consumption. So the wealthy class who was originally keen on luxury brands have begun to reduce their ardour. Then Louis Vuitton has to re-evaluate all aspects of investment, reduction in operating budget. And the “Hulic Sukiyabashi Building (tentative name)” then become a victim of this budget reduction.
